There's lots of parking around BTs and it's a safe area. I've parked on the street multiple times and walked right in without issue (day time). I'm not opposed to valet but drive a stick and don't want to replace the clutch after a visit to the club.

LS is mandatory valet but they generally let you park your own car and give them the keys with a tip (also day shift, don't know if nights are different).
