Unfortunately the situation in Jax has fallen to an all time low. I don't post much any longer because, well, there's really nothing to post about. Hate to be the guy that's always reminiscing about the "good ol days" but just a few years ago I was able to see a bevy of attractive women at reasonable prices, those days are long gone. Thanks for the informative write up on how these tricks do anything to steal your hard-earned coins. Let this be a warning to anyone on the forum that it is imperative to do your due diligence and use the search feature to see if there is any intel on a provider before seeing her. Texted provider based on ad saying running a special. Normal hr incall is $200 but tonight was $150. Agreed via text and set time to meet. Arrived in parking lot and was texted to wait two minutes then come to room. Went to door and knocked. Provider opened the door and let me in. Let's get this in perspective, that is over 200% more than the prior guy paid. And why? Because she quoted more this time?

Mongers, this is a central key to our hobby and to why so many problems arise. Our seeing a provider for fun is really a power play. Yep, a power play of getting the most cash from us for the least amount of work. Heck isn't that how we are at work. We get jobs that pay the most with the least hard work for us.

Okay, so it is all a power play, what does that mean to us? Normally the one paying the money is the boss, and the worker does as told. You do not tell the boss you want 200% more pay and to work only 1 day a week. The boss pays you, so the boss has the power to pay you or fire you. In our hobby, we have the cash, so we are supposed to be the boss. In a power play, it means the provider wants to see if she can flip things around and take control, be the boss. So providers test us, test to see if we are sure of what we want and keeping control or if we are weak and will let her take control. How does she do that? By quoting high rates! Yes, by quoting us high rates providers test us individually to see if any of us are weak. If she quotes a high rate and a monger blindly agrees, then what do you think that tells her? If a monger accepts her high price, then to her that is a sign of weakness and she will seize control. This means she feels the monger is weak so she will try setting all the rules and decide what she will do. As a further test she will often have a monger wait even though she said she would be ready. Why? Well she is testing again, looking for weakness like will the guy leave or sit and wait. Providers are very good at playing the power play games and they sense weakness like sharks. If one lets a provider take control, then anything can happen, and usually it means the provider getting the monger's cash for little or no actual work.

Bottom-line, as mongers we cannot just accept providers price quotes. We have done too much of that, and look at the mess our hobby is becoming. We need to keep the power, we need to tell the provider what we will pay. No excuses that paying more will get us more, we all know that is smoke blown up our rears. We need to say this is what we will pay, and if she agrees fine, if not then raise the amount a little, but not to some insane amount she originally quoted. If that does not work, try another provider. Just do not let a provider sense weakness in you by agreeing to their high price quotes.
