Went to Wellness for an appointment with Abby. Wasn't as great as the first time I think because she knew I made an appointment so she didn't need to work as hard. Went to sunrise 8 spa off warner and Bristol for the first time. The only item I think is holding Bamboo down, other than the curtain rooms, is the difficulty in the nudity and sex area. Although progress is being made. Whilst we push this progress we should do so with respect to the girls. I'd really hate to see the place get raided and have a problem. Too many nice people work there.

Bamboo reminds me of my many business trips to China. You walk into a spa and there's these rows and rows of people getting foot massages. But walk in as a white guy and automatically the "special menu" comes out and they whisk you off to another part of the building.

The sort of intriguing thing about Bamboo is that you can be getting jerked off and have your hand up your provider's shirt while literally laying about 6 feet away from some random woman who is there to get a legit massage, and there's nothing between you but a curtain. It's pretty trippy and I guess adds a little element of excitement.

The massages are definitely better at Bamboo, but the reality for me at least is I'm there for the finish, not the massage. I own a spa so if I want a legit massage I can get all I want from my own staff, and what the Asian places consider legit massage is pretty crappy in comparison. There's a reason why people pay $80 at places like mine instead of $30 at the Asian spas.

After checking out all of the hype over Bamboo and Air Body (more Bamboo than Air Body), I circled back to New Spa today. I've decided that among the three places, this place is my favorite. Why?
1. Girls are roughly on par with what you get at Bamboo. All average looking 30'ish to 40'ish Asian women. At New they're Viet. At Bamboo they're Chinese. No stunners at either place, but they can all pass as "reasonably attractive," and there are a couple at either place that can pass as "sort of cute-ish. ".
2. Price point is similar - 40 entry + $40 tip for similar services.
3. Privacy is much better at New. The rooms have curtains instead of doors, but they have actual walls that go to the ceiling, and they are large rooms with plenty of space to undress and re-dress, even a large comfy chair to sit on to put your shoes back on and hooks to hang your clothes up. (However, a curtain is a curtain)
4. Every room is private, unlike Bamboo where you have to walk through the big open area and maybe even bump into a few people getting massages on your way back to your little curtained off cell. (Hehehe ... I count that as a "feature")
5. New is not YMMV, unlike the other two. I've been there 5-6 times now with a different provider every time, and every service has been pretty much exactly the same. (I've found Bamboo to be pretty consistent also, except for Jessica (don't go there))
6. HJ technique is equally good at all three places IMO. (YEP)
7. At New, you are pretty much guaranteed to get full access to the goods. In every visit there I've gotten top up and bottom down, and free touching everywhere, with absolutely no issue. I've had girls there in a dress, t-shirt and yoga pants, and t-shirt and athletic shorts. At the other two places you may or may not get UTC, and if you're really lucky you get the top up. But most just get UTC or OTC, and most get denied below the waist. (Now THERE'S a BIG difference)
8. New is a little lesser known place. Quieter, less traffic, no walk of shame. (I actually love grinning at folks who look at me speculatively on "the walk:.)
