It appears providers are asking for a deposit which I refuse to do.

It also appears that they are not interested in returning messages so the clock is ticking away on today for me please help.

Great advice. The police aren't your friend unless you're the victim of a crime and you call them for help. They're trained to twist your words, so exercise your right to keep your mouth shut. Lawyer up.
