I remember that place. They opened at the 440 location back before 440 got raided and shut down the first time. Their girls were way hotter than the typical Chinese MP at 440, but if I remember correctly they charged 70 per hour, and that was 15 years ago. If it's a legit franchise you can easily get SBA loans, especially for an established brand name. I'm not rich at all and I managed to start a franchise spa business, but it takes a hell of a lot more than $100 k to do it. Mine took about $700 k to start up between construction, opening working capital etc. It does take some balls though. You usually have to put your house up as collateral so if your business fails you're fucked. I can tell you that in this world, $100 k doesn't buy you much. They're touting themselves as an ultra luxury spa and for $100 k that's laughable. The air conditioning for my spa cost that much.

I can tell you what it is. These are criminal enterprises with the kingpin somewhere in Asia and they recruit local owners to run the MPs. If you get busted and arrested that's your problem. LE can never get the king pen. They just go out and recruit more owners who run the shops and send most of the cash overseas after taking a small cut for themselves. If you want to pay 100 k to be a papa San you can probably get your favorite girls to fuck you whenever you want but that's at the cost of likely ending up doing some time behind bars.

Is this a scam at literally every level, from the customers to the workers to anyone who puts money into this "franchise?" I don't understand how this can even operate with a massive sign asking for hundreds of dollars at a time. This is so blatant it genuinely confuses me.

Ok so I've had the opportunity to visit Bamboo and Air Body now. Good service at both, and I'd say both are definitely repeatable. This hobby causes such dilemmas though. LOL. The following three are all basically the same price point.

Bamboo: Good massage with HJ finish from "decent looking" Asian girl in her 30's or 40's. Some UTC access which apparently gets a little better with repeat visits based on reports here. Limited privacy with the curtained rooms.

Air Body: Also good massage with HJ finish. Younger and cuter girls than Bamboo, but less access. Difficult to penetrate the bra (but not impossible). Nearly impossible to penetrate the panties (some reports that it gets a little better with repeat visits). Slightly better privacy than Bamboo.

New Spa (Cypress): Good massage as well, and also HJ finish. Older, less attractive girls, but they put up no resistance to you lifting their their shirts / bras up and pulling their pants down. No problems roaming everywhere. Also located very close to home for me. A bit more expensive than the others at $40/30 min. Tip has never been asked for or discussed there but I always give $40.

If I had an equal choice to visit any of the three on any given day, it would be a tough choice. There's something intriguing in visiting a place like Air Body where there's an unknown element of "can I get a little bit further this time?" I like the girls at Air Body better but access to the goods is a lot harder there.
