Shitty situations like that can happen to anyone from the noob to the experience monger. My friend as an example, who has been doing this for years, from CL, BP, RB, and MPs, recently had a bad / con situation. He went to the date, showed up and the lady immediately started letting him know how she's struggling with bills, the same old sob story every woman has. Well, he said that after blabbing on about that she asked if he planned on tipping her, mind you, he had just arrived and nothing had occurred. He told her that he'd consider tipping after the date if it was really amazing but it wasn't a guarantee, the you got to earn it sort of situation. He told me that at that point while stroking him she started to hyperventilate and yelling about how he didn't care at all about how she's struggling and how could he just be so cold. He tried to steer the date back to the deed but he said she wasn't having any of it, just blubbering on about her bills and how she had no money. After 5 minutes he got up, started to dress and told her he was going to give her half not the entire hour donation and that's when she went nuclear. Started crying and yelling at the top of her lungs, so much so, he was concerned the neighbors would be trying to call the police she was so loud. Said it was the fastest he ever got dressed and took off leaving the entire donation.
When he told me the story I just told him he got played, which he didn't argue.
