Grew up on that side of town. It was safe until they removed the requirement for cops to live in the city limits. Now if I go back I'm just as wary if not more so as driving the south loop.

Meet a SW around late July who was telling me there was an "abduction" team lurking around taking girls in the early mornings. Seem like each week the streets of the south side are getting more and more dangerous. Maybe with colder weather weeks away things might calm down.
