So. From the first and last paragraphs of this review I take it that there were no masks involved. Before anyone else decides to go swap spit with Leeza, you should know that there's a decent chance she is not vaccinated. I say this because I saw her one time a few years back and accidentally allowed the conversation to veer into her anti-vax opinions. I was very disappointed to hear that someone I am fond of is this deluded, but there you have it. Anyway, there was no covid at the time so I didn't hesitate to see her again after that. But if you're one of the people who think it's all over because some of us are vaccinated, I'd think again when it comes to Leeza.

A vaccinated person can be infected and infect others, just as well as a non-vaccinated person. The threat of an anti-vaxer is that they could get a serious infection with Covid, and require hospitalization, and monopolize medical care unnecessarily. Vaccinated individuals have a substantially reduced chance of being infected and hospitalized.

Leeza is not an added threat to you, if you are vaccinated, but to herself.

Actually, they're not. Someone who catches the virus and can't fight it off quickly (e. G. Someone who is vaccinated) is a risk because the virus has that much longer to mutate. The more mutations the virus can go through and then get transmitted to others, the more likely the virus will evolve into something we can't vaccinate against.

Yes, if you're talking about the entire planet of almost 8,000,000,000 people, the vast majority of which is unvaccinated. Yes, a deadlier mutation is definitely a possibility. . . Some would say it's a certainty. Yes, the longer the virus sticks around, the more likely it will mutate into something we can't vaccinate against.

On the other hand:

60% of the world remains unvaccinated, which is roughly 4. 7 billion people. The virus has been around for almost 2 years at this point, if not longer than that. In all that time, the deadliest mutation into which it's transformed has been the Delta Variant.

I'm NOT defending someone who chooses to refuse the vaccination. Somewhere down the line, that refusal could result in the hospitalization or death of somebody else, even possibly a vaccinated person (although breakthrough infections that lead to hospitalization or death are very, very rare).

But to wonder whether a single individual who refuses the jab is ultimately going to be the source of the world-destroying mutation of the virus is a bit of a stretch, don't you think? No offense intended: sure, the world-destroying mutation has to start somewhere, but the odds that it's attributable to the decision (unwise, in my opinion) of a certain masseuse working in Clinton is, well, as of today can we say that it's 1 out of 4,700,000,000, more or less?

There may be good reason to avoid seeing her these days, but her possible role in breeding the COVID-19 mutation world-killer isn't one of them. IMHO. Just sayin', LOL.
