Granted, my trip up and down K Avenue started at 5 PM and I only made a couple of laps but whatever my fellow mongers have reported, I couldn't find one that even met my already low bar of acceptability. If you rule out the self medicated (who are more likely to fall asleep in your lap than take a load in their mouth), the ones that obviously haven't showered in the past 48 hours and the walking dead, that's about two thirds of the street population. I was merely looking for a provider that could pass the look test that if we walked into a grocery store together, most people would think she's a civilian. In other words, showered, wearing clean clothes and not a hot mess with her hair and face. Alas, there was none to be found. Way too much going on the ave last night
Rode thru the ave last night like around 11 and they had that sobriety check right at Venango. I turn off and go around that, but then when I got down to Westmorelan I saw a bunch of police suv's and the yellow tape. There must have been a shootout in front of that little garage on the ave.
