I have been using Walmart money card for years without hitch. They don't send you a paper statement and you can check your transactions and balance online. I load it with cash for 3 $ fee. It works for online or in person hotel pay, parking fees, incident deposit, restaurants and presents if I want to treat the girl. The only thing is to be careful checking your mail when ordering it or renewing it, but at that point you know it will be coming in few days, so I just check my mail every day for few days. I havent received too many hotel letters by mail and I used to travel a lot for work, so I had a ready made lie that the hotel send me that cause I had stayed at their hotel chain for work. Few times I was able to put my work as my home address for extra security.

We switched to text recently and she blasted me with 2000-3000 a month, then lowered to 1000 for two meets a month (not awful in my opinion) and then I suggested 300-400 ppm prior to an allowance and she was okay with that. Can you explain what trail you're trying to avoid leaving? Charges from wife? The description of hotel on the charge? Hotel literature to your house? A hotel record of you being there? You may be able to get around using a card but they will almost certainly ask for at least one form of I'd.

I use dayuse and a couple small motels. Dayuse hotels ask for cc for incidentals. I pay in cash. BUT they sometimes put through a reserve that shows as pending if your wife can check the online account balance. It drops off in a few days to a week. The small motels are fine with cash and no CC.

You'll be at Motel 6 level and below with no credit card involved at all, so you'll have to consider the kind of impression that'll make with the type of girls you're shooting for. Most mainstream to upscale chains may let you pay in cash at checkout, but they'll almost always want a card to swipe for 'incidentals' when you check in. I've heard stories of some places taking a cash deposit instead of a card swipe up front, but the amount was something crazy like 150 or 200.

If you don't have a credit card under your control with no unwanted eyes on it, I think it'll be tough to play the SA game since hotel rooms are obviously a key requirement. FWIW, I used DayUse spots many times with a card for both deposit and payment and never had a single piece of paper mailed to me. I actually like to leave the room presentable with the key cards on the desk and just leave without going to the lobby to check out. Deposit always drops off and room charge stays on the card. In my opinion, if you try jumping through too many hoops to keep payments in cash, etc you're just going to stand out as doing something shady vs all the regular guests doing transactions normally.
