OF was only one of many sites people used to post photos and videos. It just so happened to be that one that became more widely known and used. Maybe the payout was better, the user interface was more friendly or whatever the reason it got the attention of sex workers. Once OF got more regular people and celebrities that were not involved in sex work it was only a matter of time that it would try to step away and try to become more mainstream. Hopefully this will help with rates for visits but I have a feeling that will just be wishful thinking. The hole that OF is creating by leaving the sex work game is going to be replaced by someone. It is just to lucrative to be left unfulfilled.

Frankly I'm glad its happening, but it probably won't be as bad as its being made out to be, but I really hope it tanks their subscriptions and makes it go the way of the dodo. These bitches need a correction, OF has overinflated rates and distorted reality for a lot of these "women" and its time to be set back straight. Hope their income from it falls off completely and their constant fucking spamming of their shitty content comes to an end. Ill be glad to see every "digital content only" ads on STG go away. I already see them begging for money on their twitters and this shit hasn't even happened yet. Feds keep kicking the can down the road with evictions and the free money for the unemployed, when that bubble pops and this OF shit comes to a head, I hope we all get the race to the bottom rates we have all been waiting for.

Nudity is still allowed, but I am curious to see how much the demand drops. Since I don't use OF, and am kinda annoyed by the constant promotion of it, I'm watching this with a general sense of schadenfreude.

Posts: 135Re: Only Fans Getting rid of Porn in October
While this a move to appease potential investors and banks that handle their transactions, this will essentially kill 75 percent of their business, even though they will still allow nudity. I kind of feel bad for all the women (nurses, teachers, waitresses, etc.) who were able to create a livable wage during the pandemic.

I would imagine most using OF don't have tremendously marketable skills, or at the very least, will be competing for jobs in the unskilled industry sector. If we see a five percent increase of women re-joining the workforce in October / November, there's a good bet that some of it is because of the OF policy. Expect Patreon to follow this lead.Last edited by TheNovelist; 08-19-21 at 20:19. Reason: Added title.

Posts: 494This is good news but I think things are going to stay as it is or there would another service replacing only fans. But for a short time the girls are going to lose their income and get desperate, that's bound to happen.

Dunno Only Fans why they would kill this cash cow, but it might mean a return to better service and reasonable prices.

FFS, this will not make a dent in human trafficking.

Posts: 92RE Texas is the first state to make buying sex a felony.
No worries, Texas is controlled by the same party that brought fester / siesta in 2018. Maybe they can take it on the road in 2024.

I doubt it.
