Yea it sucks, noticed this on Skipthegames going back at least months, even when you set the filters for female. Depends on whether the sites are doing any sorting after the ads are posted. Or could just be someone threatening a lawsuit for not getting equal access to the default listing. If it comes down to where the poster is putting the ad, they may not have any control over it, like guys realizing or trying to post in the female section to go after the bisexual market.
