The norm with the internet escorts from when I started in 2001 or 2002 until probably 2012 or maybe even longer was that you had to have references. Girls would check them, too. So you would have a hard time seeing new girls if you dined and dashed. I suppose you could get a new handle, but the girls often talked to each other. You could seriously hamper your ability to see the best hookers if you didn't pay.

The market is so much bigger today, there is more anonymity, so I can see why girls don't want to take payment after any more.

But yeah, back in the day, you paid after services rendered. That was how it was. The review boards were true review boards, so guys had more power to put out the word on shitty providers that used fake photos, didn't provide promised services, etc. The providers took over TNA and now they get away with all kinds of shit.
