They take 50% of the house fee and keep the tip. Even without doing anything extra funky, she will get 90 from a 60-min appointment (assuming that a handy is 60 now at most places). If she has 5 appointments a day, and this is quite realistic when she works from 9 to 9, it comes to 450 dollars a day, and to 13,500 a month (if she really works every day), and to 162,000 a year. Well for starters they are not compensated for their time. AFAIK no customers = no money. My understanding based on casual observation is that they split the house fee getting somewhat less than 50% but the tips are 100% their own. In 10+ years I have never seen a provider who gave any indication she was not free to leave if she wanted.
