For places which have tables vs mats, if you want good Thai but legit massage I can recommend Siam Thai on Washington St in Quincy. Low table but still about 2 feet off the floor.

It seems of the Thai places I've visited, the HE places are all mats on the floor, and the ones with tables are all legit. Natural Health in Weymouth has mats. Deanna's Thai has mats but is hit or miss for HE. Thai Wellness chain is legit. Iyara is mats on floor. Bangkok in Newton has tables and HE is available, but the one time I went the massage sucked and she wanted $80 for level 1. Thai Reflexology in Quincy has mats. Pisamai's in Cohasset has tables, but at $ for one hr, I never bothered to try it. Golden Hands in Revere has a table in one of their rooms, but it's very narrow; the other rooms have mats.

I did two separate visits to 139 Moody in Waltham. Hopefully, people will find this review to be helpful.

Thai massage is commonly done on the floor and if they had a table, it would be those wide tables. But, it's about 1/2-foot off the ground. There are some that have a separate room with a standard massage table. But, if this place follows the traditional method, then it will be done on the floor. There are certain stretches that can only be done on the floor. Otherwise, they'll fall off the table. But, the new gens today are seeing more Thai massages on standard tables. I would call ahead next time if you're searching other places.
