To answer your beseeching question of why it's because he didn't say anything about rape. He's on moderation and I remember the post because I personally cleared it.

Here's my take on this: Experienced mongers helping newbies isn't the problem, the screening is (for the most part). You can pretty much have a step by step guide on how to get into the scene just by going through the related threads back far enough and piecing things together. In addition, you have veteran mongers taking people under their wing to show them the ropes behind the scenes all the time. There will always people migrating into (and out of) the kgirl space.

The gatekeeper and safety check is the screening or lack thereof. I haven't heard of ways to circumvent screenings here (although you can have someone vouch for you but I don't consider that circumvention), you either provide what's needed and it gets vetted or you don't get in. How tough the screening is is the true measure of effective safety and security deterrence. It needs to be at a level where the vast majority are given pause and needs to consider the consequences.
