I agree that from the POV of a monger, there is technically no difference between an escort and an SB in that they both have sex with you for money. However, there is a difference in how an escort and an SB views themselves. An escort is a professional and most high-end escorts behave accordingly. An SB is an amateur and hence most behave like an amateurs, they are less consistent with services, how much cash they want and reliability. But this sort transactional experience is an advantage as you will almost never get calls from an escort, you call them when you want service. Again there are exceptions and I've gotten calls for help with computer stuff from escorts I've had a long-term relationship with. I should probably charge them for that but it often parlays into going way past the hour and MSOG.

SBs are a lot more work, not only to find the one that is right for what you seek but even subsequently. Because they are amateurs, type, quality and consistency of service is highly variable because they do not view themselves of providing a service. Many do not view themselves as escorts or prostitutes (yes, it is two-faced and holier-than-thou) and often behave like a GF or SO would, so you are more likely to get that emotional component. They will call or text you and for some of us that is a huge no no. Some will get emotionally attached to you as they see you as a BF and they will not always be able to see you when you want. But you are also more likely to find the rare intellectual interaction you might want from some creative, business-type or an academic. I've had SBs who are artists, musicians and former ballet dancers. I've also had SBs who are successful business owners, work for the State Depart and travel extensively or are in graduate school for their PhD. I can tell you the intellectual interactions I have with these types of SB is very different than the ones I have with escorts. You get to converse on a wider variety of topics, enjoy the company of someone sometimes highly intelligent and still get to stick it into one or more holes. On your part it requires charm and an ability to converse at the same level they do but there is something quite satisfying about fucking an intelligent women.
