I think the codes cause confusion, partly due to how this website treats multiple dollar sign symbols unless things have changed recently. I have seen many times posts back and forth trying to establish what the actual donation was. I'm not a lawyer but my opinion is that using codes is a waste. I could easily tie the code back to a payment in dollars in terms of legality. They do call it a dollar sign, right? As far as tying an account to any individual, Admin has stated multiple times that he does not know who any board member is and therefore no one else does either. The servers for the website are in the Netherlands and out of the reach of any US authorities. So my vote is ditch the codes and eliminate questions and confusion.

You're absolutely right. For one there has never been a case of LE going after or convicting someone for discussing prostitution on a forum. That will never stand up in court, ever. You need actual evidence of the act in question, which usually means a cop would have needed to be involved at one end of the transaction, or they would need a lot of evidence of the transaction such as surveillance, etc.

Secondly, code never absolves someone of guilt in a legal setting. People talk in slang all the time and those discussions are used as evidence elsewhere. Thinking that saying "I paid $. 5 for a dream" will avoid a legal issue is the same as thinking "I bought a dime of grass" would mean a judge can't go after you for weed charges. Shit simply isn't fooling anyone, and the cops regularly read this board, they know it exists.

All the code does is serves to make communication less clear, I've sat there trying to figure out what someone was trying to say several times because they were so focused on throwing random bits of code in to the conversation haha.

Not trying to white knight it or anything everyone has their own experiences and with all YMMV, but I was a regular of Calis for awhile and never ha any issue, the last time I tried to contact her about a month or so ago) she informed me of the increased rates, I told her nothing personal, but $$$ is out of my price range.
