HPD just purchased a $150,000 robotic canine named SPOT. It will be used to take body temperatures of the homeless camps as HPD claims they don't want to get infected. SPOT should be used as a way to get photos of what officers are actually doing on the job. Officers don't want to use their body cameras (why) and also don't want the public to get their photos out. I know that the city will be using our taxes to compensate Doyouremember Skycap.

I don't know why everyone is so high on Kahikina. She really hasn't done anything good. Well, except cleaning house at the rail. But even that is going to cost us taxpayers, because it is going to cost us more to re-fill those positions.

But previously her big push was to charge us a fee for trash pick up, which I have opposed from the start when Mufi pushed for it. I remember Mufi coming on the radio and crowing that all these years trash pick up has been FREE! Free my ass! Haven't we all been paying our taxes all these years, for you asshole politicians to mis-manage the money and then have the nerve to comeback and "tax and fee" us to death to push for more money. So, no, trash pick up isn't FREE!

Then Lori Kahikina said her budget wasn't big enough and so she had to keep pushing for the trash pick up fee.

The other big thing (fuck up) I remember her for was a huge sewage spill that was her fault. What bothered me the most about it was when she came out and said "I take full responsibility for it".

So what! It meant nothing. There was no discipline and no repercussions to her for taking "full responsibility. ".

There was / is someone (or someone's) handling / protecting her. At that time I think it was kirk Caldwell. I haven't figured out who ushered / pushed her into the cushy rail position.

But it appears to me that she is rubbing some higher ups dick (or dicks).

In the beginning, former Gov Uncle Ben was on the right track. He said early on that in most major cities, rail is built from the most busy location first and working its way out to the suburbs. This way if we started at Ala Moana and built it going west, then we could start using it early on. But, if it worked out too well, then the crooks wouldn't be able to make all the extra kala with change orders and delays, favors, etc.
