The reason is this site had $ = $100 on their abbreviation list for over 10 years. Only in the last 60 days has the USASG abbreviation list been updated and many commonly used abbreviations like $ = 100 are no longer on the list. People who have been using this site for years will still use the old abbreviations because its what they are use too.

I have preached this sermon before, but I'll say it again. The codes are very confusing because of the way this website parses what we type into it. One of the peculiarities is that the dollar sign symbol entered as multiples often gets messed up.

As far as paranoia, fine but totally unnecessary for this case. As I recall, the Admin of this site has stated multiple times that even he does not know who the board members are and that if he doesn't know than how can anyone else (uncle) know. Plus the servers are in the Netherlands and beyond the reach of any US authorities.

So just use good old Arabic numbers such as 60,200, and 300. Then there will be no possible confusion. And there are zero worries that not using some code, which fools absolutely no one, will be any kind of issue.

Have to second the notion of perception when it comes to looks. Not long ago I saw a mature lady who's beauty was absolutely raved about on this forum.
