There were more than a few red flags on this one that could have made it easy to avoid. Here's a few that tip me off right away:

1. If you're on Chrome, right-click the picture and do an image search. This one shows a bunch of posts all over the state. That on its own isn't a deal breaker, but many ads in many different towns is suspicious.

2. Location is "Down town". I see it as a major warning flag if a location is this vague. Think of how someone from here would actually talk. If a provider is in downtown Raleigh, that's what they would put. I feel much more comfortable if they put a street name or at least an area like "Crabtree". Other red flags include "In Town", "Any", "This city", or an email address.

3. The wording in this ad is wildly explicit and makes the provider seem like a desperate single woman. This is always fake. If they say they need sex, they're home alone, or use the word "fuck" in the ad, it's fake. Not to mention the English is terrible. Even the title "28 years older" is clearly written by a non-English speaker.

In the end though, just never ever ever ever send a deposit. Have fun, be safe, and monger on, my friend.

I'll 4th it. Anytime I am ever asked for a pic, I politely and positively let them know this is for pay, for a transaction, and I really don't send a pic in a p4 p situation just for my safety and discretion. Translation? Not on your life, this is a risky fucking transaction and you can forget about it. 8 out of 10 times, they are ok with that after I explain, else they grin and bear it and don't ask again. I have met at least have of those successfully. This isn't Tinder.

Always slow down and think with the big head first. Take the split second to stop yourself and think of a way out of sending a pic (hints above).

Low end providers in the $100 - 200 budget range is, at least in my opinion, as bad as it ever has been here.

I don't think the quality is bad if you use sites like eros or tryst, but you're going to be major metro (or above major metro) prices in what used to be a decently priced market. $300/ hr or better gets you a provider that isn't high on drugs, shaped like a whale / cancer patient, and can communicate in a timely fashion.
