Are you totally devoid of the facts. Or are you just practicing the " big lie theory" ?

Posts: 1868A lot depends on what winds up being revealed in the next few years in terms of graft, theft, corruption, etc, but certainly he will go down as one of the worst Presidents, in large measure because he just didn't accomplish much (he never even got his wall built) while at the same time exaggerating divisions in the country. He also jettisoned decades of hard-won American global power.

When we look back on presidents the longer time passes the better the president looks, when I was in elementary school I was told George Washington was one of the greatest american presidents. By the age of 22 he owned 18 enslaved people, at his peak he owned 216, yet somehow not may people mention that.

Most of america hated him and couldn't wait to get him out of office, democrats and republicans alike, yet for some reason not long after they elected his son president.
Now just recently he passes and he gets one of if not THE biggest washington funerals in american history, glorified as a "hero" . The people crying at his funeral were the same politicians who said horrible things about him after he left office.
I think of it like wine, check back in 30 years or so and see how it aged.

. Wookie you are correct Bill Clinton as well as Bush Senior rode an economic wave and the fall of the Soviet Union as a result of the actions of Ronald Reagan.

They continue to follow the Big Lie as practiced by Adolf

Posts: 1456Clinton economic performance.
Clinton did nothing for economic growth, he was lucky enough to be elected when the internet became mainstream and exploded, a rock could have been placed in the oval office and would have done at least as well as Clinton did. If anything his policies slowed down the potential of the internet explosion.

Posts: 2351So, how do you think history will remember Donald Trump's presidency? For starters, the Trump years were a wall of lies and Mexico paid for it. LOL Trump oversaw a disastrous response to a global pandemic, because of which more than 400,000 Americans died on his watch. That's it. That's his legacy. And if he gets a second line in the history books it will be this: He incited an insurrection on the USA Capitol which led to a second impeachment.
Anyone who says Trump will be remembered for the economic expansion of the first three years of his term is a fool. History has nothing to say about the economic performance during Clinton's eight years. The Reagan economic boom is only a footnote to his tenure. Barack Obama gets almost no recognition for the economy of his final seven years.

Spot on. Even the Russians couldn't crack Afghanistan. We don't learn lessons, we just repeat proven disasters. See France with Vietnam in the mid-fifties. Same song, different verse.

Posts: 307Party here is irrelevant. We have been in Afghanistan far too long with no exit strategy or even a good idea of why we are there at all. The ensuing cost of American lives has made it necessary to either develop one or get out. I feel bad for the Afghan people who will bear the brunt of this decision.

As a result, I was able to bring my squadron home with no loss of life or equipment. Commanders serving in Afghanistan unfortunately cannot say the same.

Joe"What day is it"Biden just officially surrendered to the Taliban. I wonder if our former Muslim in chief had anything to do with that.
