What I read that's interesting is the cops and reporter say a person loses their liberty and dignity for someone else's gain. They don't mention that most of the providers are supporting their own personal addiction (s) and due to their addiction this is the only means they have of earning money. They could resort to robbing and stealing. Would that be better than allowing them to make their own choices? I totally understand busting the minors and actual forced human trafficking. But isn't there that big movement "my body, my choice" or does that pertain to just create a political chant and really non-existent?

Of what not to do. LOL these dumbasses talking to the reporter lady and begging for forgiveness. When they say "you have the right to remain silent " it means the only words that should be coming out of your mouth are " I WANT MY ATTORNEY. " also a nice behind the scenes look into how they run their operations. Based on the other post the way that motel was set up one of those guys easily could have avoided it by parking across the street and watching for a few minutes. And they all say its their first time LOL. These guys definitely werent using their brain.

Posts: 1020So from doing much digging, the Hilliard sting was at the Rodeway Inn on Cemetary right off the freeway by the Nissan dealership. In Grove City, the sherriff used the same house on McDowell Rdvas they did a while back to set up people trying to meet up with underage girls. I will have to start looking up the cases as they get added to the municipal court site to try and find the rest of the addresses or other info that will be public record. I don't really look at the online ads too much anymore as the talent is crap and the expectations are too high. That said, I don't remember seeing many new ads for girls in GC or Hilliard lately.

Posts: 679It says the sting was called Operation 614. Perhaps they used local numbers?

They get sloppy is how they get caught and they don't research before they go to see someone. Ill answer your questions. 1: Actually its not always a hotel. But if you're going to go to a hotel, I suggest having them meet you outside at the least, and if you want to be real careful meet them in a neutral location like at a bar. In Dayton there is a youtube video of one being done at a house. In Akron they did one out of a residential location. However if the people who fell for it were to have done some research on the auditors site they would have figured out that the house was owned by the county at that time. Ironically the same sting house was put up for sale on zillow shortly after the sting. If I go to a residential location I look up the address on spokeo to verify the individual I am seeing. Through this you can find their social media as well as arrest records so you know exactly who you're dealing with. 2: ads usually get taken down shortly after the stings. Never go to anyone that isn't reviewed. 3: STG is probably the biggest culprit. I wouldn't rule any site out though in this day and age. 4: the high end women on the high end sites are probably the best bet for it not to be a sting. The goal of LEO is they want arrests and they want them quickly. Also, one interesting thing I have mentioned on several boards, I wonder if any of those caught actually know that these boards exist. I would love for the guys to get on here and talk about what exactly happened. But the fact that they are putting the footage of the stings up online definitely gives everyone the ability to observe how they run their operations. Also if you get caught, SHUT UP. Your odds of getting a plea are much higher. Those who are married have a bit more of a problem then divorced guys like me with no wife. If I ever ended up in this position I would shut up, get an attorney and fight it in court because I also have heard of various LEO arresting even with little or no evidence.

Posts: 318So any idea on what sites were used or entrapment?
I hate when this happens as I can't ever let this happen so I usually stay with AMPs and long time providers.
I need some help. Other than the occasional massage bust, it always seems a hotel sting. So help me speculate:
1. It's always a hotel, so an incall at a provider with her own place (office setup, private home / condo / apt) should be 99.9% safe?
2. Any idea what ads were used? There are so many "new" or visiting girls
3. Any idea what sites were the bait. EscortB, SeekingA, RubR, EroticM, AdultL? Any others I missed?
4. Do some sites seem more bullet proof than others?
I hate posing these questions, but 93 hits is a big number. The human trafficking is so much BS, but it is what it is.
Thanks and stay safe.

You know what makes me sick? Power-hungry moral inquisitor politicians who want to stop adults from engaging in consensual behavior, and then labeling them human trafficking. Columbus is a backwater shithole. What century is this? Meanwhile the elites get away with far worse. Public shame and a criminal record for you, not even a slap on the wrist for creeps like Prince Andrew and the crowd he hangs around with. Disgusting.

Posts: 2494I found the article and one of the photos shows a John sitting in the background with his hands cuffed and head down. There is an exterior photo too. It's obvious it's the motel 6 off Cemetery Road. I would love see the ads they used and if they are using local area codes. I always ignore the ads with out of state area codes as well as the ads with really good looking girls with in-state areas codes, especially if their rates are very low. I'm wondering if they are just using faceless ads and attracting Johns who aren't that concerned with what the girl looks like? I like to think that everyone who is a regular on USASG always looks out for the obvious signs of a sting and would never get stung.

Looks like another huge sting just went down. Reported today 4/16/21 in the Dispatch.
It was all part of what law enforcement called "Operation 614," a two-day sting at hotels across central Ohio that targeted the demand side of the sex trade as well as efforts to identify victims of human trafficking and get them connected to services. Overseen by Ohio Attorney General Dave Yost's office, officers from more than 20 different law-enforcement agencies identified 53 trafficking survivors and arrested 93 people.
The Central Ohio Human Trafficking Task Force and police departments from Columbus, Dublin, New Albany and Westerville focused on getting victims out of the lifestyle, and Columbus, Grove City, Hilliard and Reynoldsburg police departments targeted the demand side. The Franklin County Sheriff's Office's Ohio Internet Crimes Against Children Task Force went after those looking to have sex with minors.
Police set up shop in three adjacent rooms at the hotel. One was pretty bare, just the suitcase supposedly belonging to the woman and a bag of potato chips as snacks sitting on the dresser beside the TV. But the room was full of hidden cameras and microphones, capturing what would happen there from every angle.
A second room served as home base, where more than a dozen officers texted potential johns, monitored the video feed from the room where the meet-ups would happen, and scanned surveillance cameras from the parking lot and around the neighborhood. They communicated with spotters who tried to get a license plate as the johns approached so that police would have some idea who they might be dealing with.
A third room was set up for processing, where police brought the men in handcuffs once they had been arrested. There, they were photographed, booked and issued a summons to appear in Franklin County Municipal Court on a later date.
Yost said that with this operation, for the first time in Ohio, some of those seeking to pay for sex were charged with engaging in prostitution, a misdemeanor of the first degree. This charge was created under House Bill 431, which only became law on Monday.
Under the new law, an offender will be required to attend an education or treatment program aimed at preventing a person from inducing, enticing or procuring another to engage in sexual activity for hire.
Hilliard Police Lt. Doug Lightfoot stood in that dingy hotel room Thursday and watched the cameras with his arms folded across his chest and a scowl on his face.
He said he thinks Ohio should use some form of public shaming as some states do for those arrested.
"If it was up to me, I'd hang the pictures of these men all up and down (Interstate) 270 on billboards," he said.
One of his undercover female detectives who spent the afternoon as the decoy had just made the comment that she would later burn the tank top and yoga pants she wore this day.
"It's sad that there's this kind of demand for prostitution and human trafficking," Lightfoot said. "It makes me sick. ".

Even agreeing to drive a girl to a trick can be charged as trafficking.

That's absolutely ridiculous. Talk about a slippery slope. Not much is scarier than do-gooders on a moral crusade.
