It kinda depends on what's behind your ED.

I would suggest going to a urologist. There are several oral options that are easy to try at different dosages and are effective for most.

However, for my situation, Viagra and the other oral meds were not effective.

Trimix is the absolute magic bullet as it doesn't work in the same way as Viagra. Trimix works directly on the erectile tissue itself and doesn't require a nerve response in the same way that Viagra does. Trimix uses a small injection a few minutes prior to having sex, and some are squeamish about the needle. If you can get past the needle, it is about as close to a miracle as I can imagine.

I've read there are potential adverse side affects with testosterone supplementation. I'll do more research, but I don't want to compromise other aspects of my health just for a boner, LOL.

Then in the past year, I noticed a sharp decline in both desire and half-erect sessions. You should know that I do a lot of powerlifting and athletic conditioning so I'm pretty damn fit. In fact, I doubled-down on all of that in the past year since I couldn't do anything else. Doc said my hormone levels and such were fine. Not too long ago a provider couldn't get me up at all and neither could I which was a first. That got in my head. I've had to switch to working from home this past year and that can cause problems with the prostate since I was sitting a lot more, so I ran to the doc wondering if I had issues. No issues there, no STDs, nothing crazy.

I'm in reasonably decent shape. I try to maintain a balance strength training and cardio. I need to start doing the age-related screenings and will do so when Covid is (hopefully) resolved. As long as there aren't major health issues, I'm OK with it I think. Sex originally evolved as a means of reproduction, and as we get older reproducing isn't viable, so less sexual vitality is to be expected.

If I develop a serious health issue requiring medication I'll take it, but I'm not inclined to take Viagra or testosterone just to get a boner. I accept normal aging for what it is.

A other's have stated. Don't give up. I am older than you (62) and a few years ago, without any real symptoms, an annual checkup showed that my Testosterone was around 70 and it should be between 300-600 for my age.

I've been taking small dose shots every week (. 25 mg which is a very small dose), and that has brought my numbers up to 450.

I also take Viagra (50 mg) depending on the situation. If I'm planning a 1 shot short session, I'm fine without, but for a longer marathon the pill does the trick.

I no longer partake in the hobby, since I found a lover (not my wife) who just has to touch me to get my hard.

Don't stop having sex, it will age you quicker than you can imagine.
