Hey guys,

Could really use your help. Yesterday morning took a Lyft ride to work while my car is being repaired. The driver picks me up in a Honda Civic with a sheet covering the back seat. At 6'2, 230, needless to say I had a very difficult time getting into backseat. I had to put my head and upper torso in first, than my legs. While getting in, my hands slipped on sheet that moved and I spilled some coffee. I said I was sorry and driver said "don't worry about it, just wash sheet".

Later that day I get a notice from Lyft Safety Group with attached pics-see below- and told my debit card has been charged $80!

No way that spilled coffee caused the stain on upholstery-look closer and you can see a reddish hue from most likely red wine and the spot was attempted to be cleaned already.

Why would driver take a picture of the stain after it was cleaned and not before?

Also, why was a sheet on back seat? Most likely to cover previous stains including the one he sent to Lyft.

Bottom line is driver is pulling a scam and Lyft is backing him up and will not reduce the $80 charge. The sheet moving is what caused me to spill the coffee. Why was a gross, used sheet in back seat in first place?

Finally, coffee stains according to Google are easily removed with dish soap, vinegar, and hot water. Coffee would not leave that stain on upholstery upon cleaning which is why you see a reddish tint upon zooming because it wasn't coffee!

Any help to get my $80 back is greatly appreciated. Bonus points-can anyone figure out if pic of stain is on passenger or driver side of backseat?
