Very good advice, however I prefer cash app or Venmo if the provider uses either. With the obvious knowledge of I'm not sending a time before services are rendered. I prefer not to carry cash around when seeing someone new in case it is a set up. As well as both cash app and Venmo are are great way to do some research on the person you're actually meeting, depending on how much accurate detail they put down on their accounts, Venmo is great because it requires you to use your actual name, the corollary to that is that they now have your name as well. While I'd never send money before hand I've used cash app several times with different people. But as always do what your comfortable with. The fact that she didn't want cash is an obvious red flag, so as Jan stated you saved yourself a likely scam on this one.

FWIW I am extremely hesitant about using Venmo (especially for extracurriculars of any form) given the social media, sharing nature of the app. Too easy to make a mistake and have a transaction be visible.

Exactly, they actually want it BEFORE, most of whom aren't even in the same city, having no intentions of showing up or being there. Some scam for gas money 💴 if they are doing Outcall if they don't get a bite for full amount, or the best, 'I'm getting deposit because I've been scammed in the past, LOL. All different versions of same thing.

Most likely "she" would have directed you to a location and then insisted that you CashApp her the fee before gving you the room number or final directions. Then when you go to the room, it would be empty or at least not occupied by the scammer. You're left poorer and feeling stupid for getting scammed.

For the most part DO NOT use CashApp for this stuff. Some higher end escorts will ask for clients to send a deposit, especially for longer dates. Deposits are a controversial topic but a reality with some escorts and the main thing is make sure the escort is legit and well established and even then be prepared to never see that money again if something goes wrong.
