Not been back since they re-opened last March. Was disappointed then and gave a negative review. Now since that time I am aware that there has been some changes such as the having several ladies for a grand opening they had dropped down to one lady. I have for a while had a close working with Authentic on Waterford. Enjoyed Anna and was blown away by the recent addition of Linda. They called me Saturday saying it was last day and both are going back to NY because boss had replaced them with a former provider who was with him for 3 years. The pictures of her indicate that she is an older lady ( 50 hard faced and no tolerance demeanor). Of course the two were not happy and felt they had been screwed; Anna had at great cost built a good clientele. I was never impressed nor liked the owner but went because the two ladies were so good to me. We often forget how poorly these ladies are often treated by the owners and how often they are literally trapped (e. G. Taking and holding green card, picking up debts for gambling, being sold by family for much needed money or to support kids left back home etc.). This organization has two stores here in RVA one on Waterford and another that use to be on Patterson but now is on Gaskin. I would be thankful if all fellow monger would avoid or discontinue doing any business with them. I think we all at some point in our lives especially those of us who have been laid off or in appropriately dismissed from a job how being screwed like this feel.

Your understanding and solidarity in this would be much appreciated and vocalization of the disapproval to the owner be made known.

Stopped by midweek after work ( 7 pm) to see if could get some relaxation. Bit busier than expected and when went to lobby, was asked to come back in 15 minutes. Late 20's / early 30's woman said she'd make it worth my while.

Thank you for this review. I was actually very close to pulling the trigger on this place. I thought I had been there before a very long time ago and I thought I had gotten extra but maybe I was at the wrong place. Either way thanks for saving me the trouble LOL.

I suspect that they wouldn't "suddenly" take an interest in a harmless activity. The flip-side is that then they look like they are specifically targeting Asians. Further perpetuating the anti-Asian sentiment.

At the very least. They might do a pop-in and ask the mamasan if everything is alright. But if suddenly they start hauling these beautiful asian women out of these places in handcuffs. That defeats the purpose of "protecting" them.

My best advice is to take the $1.60 blue light special to sample the hors d'oeuvres first prior to the main course. Meaning you need to make sure the (bearded?) clam is properly lubricated before being served the main course. That being said if the (bearded?) clam being served during the hors d'oeuvres seems to be over cooked and dry its recommended to apply some spray condiment lubrication which can be purchased at places that sell water-based lubricant. Those who have SO's, you may worried about finding the lube condiment hiding in your vehicle glove box. Ect, just need to say you have an annoying squeak under the dashboard or whatever, it was recommended by the auto supply store to use the water based lube over and above WD40.

Nice review. You won't get any BS from me. I never nickle and dime the ladies. I usually get treated pretty darn good too. Sounds like Cherry is exactly as she advertises which is why I never went.
