The NY Times is confirming that Xiaojie Tan from Young's Massage was called Emily. The Times has posted her picture. Ms. Tan was not a mamasan but a very nice lady who did not make her 50th birthday. My heart goes out to her, the other victims and all of their friends and families.

He is clearly calling out the incongruity of the display of sympathy by those who would use those terms or think of them in that way as "disingenuous". As crazy as it sounds, I think we can take the shooter at his word that it was a sexually motivated shooting and not a racially charged one. Guys that commit racial crimes are proud of their motives and usually don't hesitate to divulge them when asked. It motivates their "cause". Plus he did shoot a white couple. That may not be saying much considering bullets can find any target in the heat of the moment but he certainly wouldn't garner any notoriety with his counterparts by shooting his own people.

You have to understand in a lot of Kamps they have much older providers, some may look 40 but in reality are much much older women just trying to make a living.

I don't believe those ages. At most, there might be two older women as mamasans, one from Gold and the other from Aromatherapy, but the working girls at either place wouldn't be that old. Also, Korean names are generational. If they ever release the names of the deceased Korean women, I'll be able to roughly figure out their age group.

Also, did you notice in the article that the American guy who was interviewed about Young's described the place as 'absolutely professional'? Yeah right.
