Hey guys, long time follower, first time poster. I fell for a scam with this one and wanted to give you guys the heads up.

She goes by the name Joy. She responded well through text. Didn't make me wait long when I arrived to let me in. I was pleasantly surprised that she actually looked liked her pics and her donation was $$. She asked for the donation up front and then went into the bathroom to change. She comes out and says she has to respond to one text and then she'll be ready. Not a minute later, her "roommate" knocks on her door and says her boyfriend is on his way home and we need to switch rooms. There are now two other guys in the house by the time I get my stuff around. She says I should meet her out front and she will get a different room. I know what's happening at this point. I ask for the donation back but says they don't give them back but that she will still come out and meet me. Low and behold, she stopped responded to texts and phone calls and never came back out. Does everyone else donate after? I generally am asked before hand for the donation.

Unfortunately, once you gave up the money, you're at their mercy. You didn't do anything wrong (Except contact Joy before reading the reviews on this forum, that would've told you she has a heavy demon problem). The only way to get your money back at that point, would be to threaten violence and you probably don't want to go that route and they count on that.

It's true that searching three-letter names doesn't work right on this site, but there is a simple workaround which I have posted on several of our boards. At some point in a post write the name once with a letter "x" in front of it. So for example Joy becomes xJoy. Some just put in a phrase like

xJoy for search.

If we all adopt this workaround, the problem is solved. Same idea for two-letter names, just put two x's in front. The Raleigh lady with name AJ is written xxAJ once during the post.

She has been mentioned many times here but the search function doesn't allow 3 letter searches, so one can't search for "joy".

As a newbie myself, this board has been very helpful in keeping me from being scammed. I would type just the name (one word) and use ctrl+find "Charlotte", it helps narrow down the times a provider has been mentioned.
