Odds are she's just cherry picking who she sees. She might not see certain races, men that are too old, men that are too fat, etc. When you only work two days a week you can do that. Shannon then basically squeals, "Oh Mom, you have definitely got to try him out. He is a lot of fun!" and then immediately goes to talk to someone else.

And I am left standing there with the head of the Mandy Clan, who is eyeing me like I am a drinking fountain in the middle of the desert.

Cue awkward silence on my part.

And then I quickly excuse myself and get lost in a crowd.

I turned to look back for a second, and Mandy was still staring at me.

I realize it is the hobby and all that, but having someone recommend me to their mother is still just bizarre.
