You could not be more spot on. The higher end escorts begin at $400/ hr and even those can be hard to find. My limit is $600 for 90 minutes.

I would say if you're just starting out hit some strip bars where the girls are known to do extras or take out. You'll have a much better experience if you do. You can usually find one girl in a few you click with, can get a feeling about and you already know what she looks like. On top of that if you find nothing you at least had a decent time and a few drinks.

Reread the posts. For the most part, the replies were empathetic. There was some surprise that you would let her do it multiple times. Take some time and go through some of the Forums and see what to do and not do. Ask questions. Kudos to you for the warning, just try to give more info. Most important, don't get discouraged. We all made rookie mistakes, some far worse than yours.
