I think most of us are in this hobby for variety. The majority among us could find someone to settle down with if we really wanted to.

Therefore, there is also something to be said for a tramp or a girl living in sparse conditions. As long as the situation is not too unsafe or unhygienic. I like the element of adventure. And I definitely don't want to overpay for cleanliness or lavish digs.
