Student loans won't be forgiven that is a political ploy it would cost the government too much money and create a backlash for everyone that did pay off their debts.

I would go with 50/50 and one I was seeing was using some of the money to pay tuition, some when you talk to you know it is a line, others you can tell it isn't especially if you talk to them and ask questions about what there classes are like, or you see textbooks around their place.
