It happens brother. If we let it. It happened in my very first encounter as well, some 20 years ago way before there was an internet database of information! Almost the same scam too. Fortunately, it was through agency with a reputable owner so she sent me a "replacement" without charge. That kind of eased me back into the hobby.

My point is. As with everything there's noob mistakes. This is not a noob friendly hobby. But this read this page up. Read others experiences.
