I work in healthcare and know a huge number of people with endocarditis.

It is mostly from licking the blood off of needles after failed injections. So, the bacteria from your mouth gets introduced into your bloodstream and it goes wild as you don't have defenses against it.

Then "vegetative matter" starts growing on your heart and EATING IT. The same can happen to kidneys but mostly you die from it eating your heart.

The treatment typically is six weeks of IV antibiotics and most addicts aren't stable enough to stay in the hospital long enough to follow through with it.

My friend's mom died from it a few months ago.

A dude nicknamed "Wheels" who used to beg for money down by Temple Episocopal is someone I save from dying from it. There's lots of people who have it though and it's just a matter of time before it kills you unless you get serious treatment.

Great information. You are 100% correct. Endo is the AK47 of addiction. The needle licking will do it every time. I know dozens of girls that have dealt with Endocarditis. It's not an easy position for any addict to be in. A pic line and six week hospital stay is just to much for any of us to deal with. Then for an addict add Cold Turkey to the mix it's very stressful. I also know Wheels. I see him a lot in Frankford now. He's a great guy. Me, I'm just an 'OL Gator.

That is a real shame, but you are absolutely correct. Right sided infective endocarditis (IE) is extremely common among injection drug users. In inner city communities, most cases of infective endocarditis (IE) occur in injection drug users; many of these will have right sided IE caused by staphylococci. Angel is really sweet but very quiet. Talks as low as a whisper. She seems out of place, where some of these girls grew up in the area and find the lifestyle exciting Angel seems like a solid middle or upper middle class girl who somehow got mixed up into something she shouldn't have and now she's stuck. Glad you had a good time though. She's very accommodating if she feels safe.

The covid bucks have once again kicked in. So, they file on Sunday and wait till Wednesday and its party time once again. This week the site was flooded and many didn't get to file till Monday. Some possibly Tuesday, The site just dicked them around. That means they got the Party funds today, Thursday or possibly tomorrow. So today just would be a bad day unless you get lucky and find one that can't file. They are out there. Just few and far between.

My best guess is hang tight till the weekend. Possibly Saturday when the funds have been depleted. They will be back in the game complaining they are sick and blaming you for their bad choices.

Sad to say, some girls might not make it back. I saw on the news how everytime they issue a stimulus, or in this case people are getting backdated unemployment, there is a rash of fatal overdoses.

Also, waiting a couple days will give the streets a chance to thaw a bit. Streets like Sargent become a risky ride when its icy. The bottom at Jasper is always hazardous. There are also residential cameras in that block over to Huntingdon that take tag and car pics. Driver pics if they can get them. Not sure how comfortable one can be with that act of civic socialism. A couple guys have actually caught the locals there doing just that. So, be alert. A few people have noticed information surfacing on the local neighborhood Facebook page regarding activities in that area. Be careful you don't become a part of that action. Me, I'm just an 'OL Gator.

The street game has always required patience, these days even more so. I find the selection very limited compared to normal (pre Covid, pre stimulus checks) so more time is needed to find the nuggets that are out there.

My usual routine is to do a loop or two to assess the options and then swing into action for the one (s) I think are worthy of my hard earned donation. What I am finding these days is that if you see something you might like, start your strategy to get them into your car because its likely they wouldn't be there on the next swing around. I personally loathe that strategy because it takes you off your game and makes you wonder (to yourself) if that is the choice you would make if you weren't rushed.

It is always worth a trip even just to take a cruise to get out the house during this lock down.

Pickings kind of slim for anything really though. Between the unemployment money that kicked in and girls working online from LC / STG the ave isn't as active as it use to be with hotties. There will be like 1 hottie and the rest you would rather just keep driving by.

A few days ago I saw " Biggie" walking the ave looking like an Eskimo. Biggie is the super small Italian girl with now looks like long blond hair. She's cute and clean (heard she has housing) but I noticed she had a hard time being picked up.

I started looking in other areas now also. Torresdale ave is starting to see some action. Had a huge score on Torresdale (exact location is classified). It was refreshing because the girl was dressed up and clean and we hung out in a cleaner quiet neighbourhood.

She is young havn't seen her out there lately Italian. She is big on the upsell She had a phone for a whole week in Dec I called she asked me to pick her up at the Days in NE and we did a date at pennypack park behind the prisons. I ran into Crystal Jennifer up there this morning around 9 am.

She didn't seem to know of a 10 spot room to hand, so we went to my reliable parking spot, and got in the back of my rather small car. My absolute favorite companion died about a year ago. She also had endocarditis and had 2 open heart surgeries. She just couldn't stop using. After her second open heart surgery she was 70% of her former self and she really started to look bad and have major body fluctuations where her ankles and legs would swell up. She tried to get a job and was using methadone but she just couldn't stop shopping at K and Clearfield. Without drugs she could have lived another 40 years easy but she's gone now.

I have been in Kensington since they had those tent cities and when I drive through Kensington now I wonder where everyone is because there isn't as many people like there use to be and the familiar faces and people I use to see are gone now. I would wager most of them are dead. Girls that I do know that are dead I sometimes just imagine them standing on their favorite corner waiting to be picked up. They were that special, well at least to me.

Sadly the few girls that I know that are left in the area they are following the same sad path. Non-stop using, puffy hands, wounds that haven't healed in months, ect, ect, are all warning signs that they need to be taken out of the game and seek treatment but they absolutely refuse to do so unless they get arrested or die. That's just the sad reality of people who live this kind of lifestyle.

You must be talking about Leslie. Star told me a similar story about Leslie when she was still around. Wasnt sure those two still walked the ave, but I guess so.

For the end of January, it was only mildly cold so there were options on on the Avenue. After seeing a couple that I thought might be worthy of my baby batter, I circled back around and they were gone.

I eventually met up with Cassidy down on Jasper a block down from the Huntington Station. Not bad looking, light brown hair, I guessing late twenties, early thirties, she has the trashy street walker vibe down pat. Drove to a good spot and the first thing she does is drop her pants to her ankles. I told her, hey, I just want some head and she tells me to finger her box. Being a gentleman, I obliged. Then the fun begins, she does know what she is doing and proceeds to solicit a withdrawal from the ol sperm bank. All for the standard street donation, I am a happy camper for the drive back home.
