You can definitely tell events are upon us in town. As room rates rise to an insane level more and more providers are starting to double up. In my experiences this tends to create an unsafe environment. Numerous times appointments have been delayed or even canceled. Countless times visits have been interrupted by roomies pounding on the door or crashing the party. Personally it's time for a hiatus because there is simply no time or patience for any of the nonsense from providers that most days can't remember their names never mind coordinating dates and times between them.

Not to mention there usually ends up being a bit more attention from the local authorities around most of the events. They're going to be going on for a few weeks this year. 24 hours this weekend then Nascar will be in town for 3 weekends this year with another race the weekend following the 500. Then bike week right behind that. As said it's probably best to take a little break.
