My absolute favorite companion died about a year ago. She also had endocarditis and had 2 open heart surgeries. She just couldn't stop using. After her second open heart surgery she was 70% of her former self and she really started to look bad and have major body fluctuations where her ankles and legs would swell up. She tried to get a job and was using methadone but she just couldn't stop shopping at K and Clearfield. Without drugs she could have lived another 40 years easy but she's gone now.

I have been in Kensington since they had those tent cities and when I drive through Kensington now I wonder where everyone is because there isn't as many people like there use to be and the familiar faces and people I use to see are gone now. I would wager most of them are dead. Girls that I do know that are dead I sometimes just imagine them standing on their favorite corner waiting to be picked up. They were that special, well at least to me.

Sadly the few girls that I know that are left in the area they are following the same sad path. Non-stop using, puffy hands, wounds that haven't healed in months, ect, ect, are all warning signs that they need to be taken out of the game and seek treatment but they absolutely refuse to do so unless they get arrested or die. That's just the sad reality of people who live this kind of lifestyle.

That is a real shame, but you are absolutely correct. Right sided infective endocarditis (IE) is extremely common among injection drug users. In inner city communities, most cases of infective endocarditis (IE) occur in injection drug users; many of these will have right sided IE caused by staphylococci. That's another girl the 9th I knew over the past 3 years that has died from addiction related causes. Kat was cool and she was from NE Philly. I Did a few over nites with her the end of March 2020 right when Mayor Kinney shut down the city for Covid. Kat was cool intelligent. Her mom, she wouldn't let Kat stay with her till she got clean nor help her financially Kat would call her all the time so her mom wouldn't worry I know she supported her ad had paid for expensive rehab that was only temporarily successful. So Kat was homeless and would stay in hotels or with dates over night I hadn't seen her since October she was pretty in spite of her shaved up the side hairstyle she adopted late summer. Brittany are who could often be found walking from Clearfield to Huntington she died of that heart same infection July 2019 the second leading cause of deaths among drug users other is OD, its called Endocarditis. Taylor a really cute girl only 22 also died of endocarditis about 2 years ago I dated her after she got out of the hospital she wasn't the same girl after that and I heard she got endocarditis again this time it was too late. I know these were good people and so I'm sure they are in a better place ill never forget any of them.

Those of you that know T'lene will be saddened to learn she has passed away. I've been told within the past few weeks she overdosed. T'lene was a fixture on Hart Lane for as long as I can remember. She was a clean attractive girl that cared about her appearance. To see her on the street, unless you knew personally, she would never be taken for an employee of the trade. T'lene also had a great personality. She was not your traditional street girl. She was always a lot of fun. Last couple years she had made her way to Tioga Park area. That's where I last spoke to her. I never knew her to use any other name out there.

Another recent loss is Kat. Kat is a pretty redhead Northeast girl that has struggled with her demons for all the years I have known her. I have included her pic here. She was around Somerset the past few years. Would leave get some recovery and months later find herself back in the mix again. This past summer she found herself more at Needle park than Somerset.

My information is that she contracted a heart infection and her addiction would not allow her to get hospital treatment. Sadly her body could not stand the stress any longer and she passed away.

Both these girls struggled with what others in the area struggle with. Yet knowing that struggle they face I never heard anything other than good things of both. I hope now the struggle is ended for them they find peace and comfort wherever they find themselves. Me, I'm just an 'OL Gator.

Kensington Avenue is an open air 24 hour drug drug market, the cops have all they can handle with the overdoses and walking zombies. Just use common sense and don't pick the SW on the Avenue, a little bit of discreetness goes a long way.

If you have the time, Philadelphia offers the 5 star accommodation known as the Carlye Hotel where $20 buys you an hour of privacy. Myself, a carry a gym bag with an oversized beach towel (so my bare ass or hers never has to hit the mattress) and pillow to I can prop up my head to watch her play "Hide the salami". Don't know where it is? If any SW that has been out there more than 3 days could give you directions. Kensington Avenue doesn't offer the best looking but does offer quantity so it has that going for itself. Good luck and be safe, let us know how it goes.

If you're only in Philly during the daytime then Kensington ave is the best bet, OYR is not the spot during the day.

North Broad?? Were you around Old York Road? If so just cruise that strip from Erie up to Windrim on the late night, you are bound to see something, but its real hit or miss. The best bet around there are 13th st from Erie to Pike st, and Luzerne from Old York Road to 10th.

There are a fair amt of trannies in that area as well. You've been cautioned.

The cheapest, best place to find that kind of action is Kensington ave. Def go check that out if you aren't having any luck up North Broad.

Picked up Dez near Buckius. Thin, blond, homeless girl. Nice eyes. I've picked her up before but hadn't seen her since summer. Unrushed BBBJCIM didn't miss a drop, spit it out the door. Gave her 30, then a few bucks more when I dropped her off. Nice, friendly girl. But YMMV.
