Social media is way too out in the open for me. I literally don't have any accounts. I do feel like the game could be shifting that way but I'm super hesitant. When you first contact someone on FB. How do you start a conversation? Even though you can be fairly certain that they are in that line of work. How do you word it just in case they are not. I've seen opportunities myself to contact when they are friends of a friend that I know that is in the business. But too scared to send a message because if I'm wrong then it can be uncomfortable.

So, unless it's a definite, "friend", who's in the biz, yes, you've got to be careful. But I like searching for the UTR's anyhow. But it DOES require much more work. Not like finding an ad and calling and setting up an appt right away. Just a casual conversation over a period of time, earn the trust and develop some rapport. Then things can progress. Once again, this takes MUCH more time and effort than just calling an ad, however, with the current quality in online advertisers these days🙄 sometimes worth the work. I've managed to find a couple gems with this technique.
