Generally, 99% of ladies asking for a deposit are scams. There are a few legit providers that ask for a deposit but they are usually the ones with legit websites, profiles etc. I've paid a deposit for a well known adult star that was touring in the area, but I verified she was in town on Twitter and she had good reviews. Outside of that, don't pay a deposit.

Gift cards are 100% scams.

Never pay ahead of a meeting and never use a gift card. Even some of the ad sites are now warning mongers against paying deposits or using gift cards. Paying in advance or giving out gift card information likely means you've kissed that money goodbye without getting any action. Avoid any provider who won't accept cash at the time of service.

While we're on the subject, never give any personal identifying information (PII) to a provider. She may claim she needs it to screen you for her safety, but what if your PII falls into the wrong hands? That's especially a hazard if the provider gets busted or if the ad is really Uncle LEO in disguise.

So many people fall for this scam that scammers still use this easy grift. Those that were scammed come on to say "Oh my god, I was scammed, can you believe it?" Well, yeah, because tens of thousands of people, just on this board, have reported the same scam.

My apologies, I meant to say that paying online, prepaying, gift cards, and any other non-cash payment, is good to go.

Never do that. They will take the gift card info from you over the phone and hang up. Many stories of this scam on here.

This is always the tricky part. Unless they have reviews or if they're talked about here, it's hard to tell whether a pro is real or not. What you can do is a reverse image search and see if they link to any existing sources or any other existing ads (google images, tineye), you'll be surprised how much you can find. You can google the phone number and see what pulls up and see if they link to other ads or any other sources, if they don't link to anything or pull up results as being an ig model then it's worth digging deeper. Also look at the date of when those ads were posted, if someone is posting in multiple places on the same date then you'll know that ad is BS. You can search this forum, there's a lot of information here, I don't use these forums much, but it's great entertainment value. You can check review sites as well. If an ad is too explicit, I stay away from those, I don't mean using acronyms like BBBJ or DATY, I mean like actually spelling everything out. A good rule of thumb, if it's too good to be true then it most likely is. But always use google, it's your best friend.

Seriously though, how do these providers charging $500 at a minimum, not at least display their TER I'd or be part of an agency?

It's pretty sad clients are willing to gamble $500 to $900 for a high risk of lack luster service.

People are paying and I've seen a spike of providers asking price only going up. Agency prices are creeping higher as well.
