However, the insistence of all three that I pay via cash app or with an eBay gift card is a red flag. None of them take cash because "they have been robbed before. " Two asked that I make an advance payment. Ha. Never going to to happen and told them "good luck with that. " However, one just insisted that she see a photo of the EBay gift card I plan to provide. Other than providing detailed card information, which only a fool would do, what is the risk paying with a prepaid eBay gift card? I suspect it's a ploy to eventually get me to provide the card details (again, I am not a fool), but other than providing the gift card numbers, I don't see how it's risk. And what is it about eBay gift cards? I think I remember someone else asking this question but I'd don't recall seeing a response.
