Depends on the place and how service was last time. It can vary with whoever you draw. Typically if its FS type of place and you actually want a decent massage first with no rush, don't lay the tip out first. Make them work for it, then whip it out on the flip. If I walk into a room and they demand something up front, I say no and tell them to do a good massage first. If its a trusted spot and I'm familiar with the talent then I lay my max tip on the table before the massage to save time. They will always ask for more, but I will always say no unless the menu opens up even wider. Now if you're referring to giving the tip before the real fun begins, that is normal. A few times, they have trusted my word to tip after the fun when I didn't feel like getting up to show it. I have never walked in the door and handed over the door fee and tip at the same time, don't allow them to dictate that.
