Posts: 601It was unconstitutional because there was no warrant. That doesn't mean they can't legally get a warrant and install cameras. They just did it illegaly in this case.

Posts: 35The Kraft Bust had a silver lining
I'm glad Kraft fought it all the way to the end. A judge ruled the hidden video by the cops was unconstitutional which is good. At least I will never worry cops have hidden cameras in any stores I visit now that's its been ruled unconstitutional.

Posts: 744Pornhub deletes over 10 million videos
Only verified users can post videos now. I don't see too many people sending a photo of themselves to verify.
Thanks to those mongers who posted their adventures. It was enjoyable while it lasted.

Yep. This is another example that shows how the system was not built for the common citizens. Most of us live in a dream-like existence. We are the freest people, living in the freest nation, with a system built by the people and for the people. Nice dream, and I know that this is not completely untrue. But the fact of the matter is that in some aspects of our social lives, yes, here in US we may have achieved some of the highest levels possible, such the freedom of speach or property rights protection, and others.

The issue of "Cash For Sex" is one of those that our collective intelligence just embarrassingly fails. In my humble (possibly stupid) opinion, I notice that our culture inherits, some fundamental flaws that keep creeping in, in almost every aspect of life, so as to slow down or completely impeding any king of progress. It is almost like a bug in a software application. You can mitigate it, sometimes win battles, and other times lose. But the more advanced societies have resolved a lot these issues and are better for them.
What happens is, I think, the people most interested in imposing (maybe too strongly, shell I say, influencing) their way of life on to others, are those most interested in government and the system of laws. It is not a secret that these people also tend to be the ones who have accumulated more of the resources around them. So they run the freaking show. If you throw in that mix, the superstitious nuts, now you can have a really messed up situation.
That is why, you can see things that seem to wrong, immoral or just unnecessary for human well being or flourishing, which are made to be "Legal", but things that good, fun or inconsequential, made to be "Illegal". Looking at our history provide a clearer picture. Cash for alcoholic beverage, had been made illegal at one point. Cash for weed, we are at it right now, trying to solve this problem. In some places it is legal but not others (don't you just love this country? It amazing). Here is a future dilema for you. What is more immoral?
- "Cash for Sex"? Or "Cash for Guns".
To help this, one must define what morality is. In my stupid mind (I came to this by simply being alive, reading and / or listening to smart people), but as I was saying, Morality is a form of knowledge, and it is meant to solve problems. I like to think of it, as a technology for society. Morality is the problem of what to do next, given the history and the present circumstances. As I can tell, no matter the problem at hand, the individual or collective moral compass tend to generally be or dictate the new direction. So, What is more immoral? "Cash for Sex"? Or "Cash for Guns".

This is the same pathetic Florida County that covered up so much of Jeffrey Epstein's activities with under-aged girls? SMH?

Wow
Absolutely incredible, the money and time wasted. And the ones that get punished are the ones supposedly being "trafficked" A joke indeed.

Posts: 187Retired Clearwater officer faces lewd and lascivious molestation charge
In case you think the guys in blue are good guys, they sometimes have a secret in their own closet. Hypocrites.
A retired Clearwater police officer is accused of engaging in illegal sexual contact with a girl years ago, according to the Pinellas County Sheriff's Office.

Anyway, make sure your dates are with adults, so you don't get your name in the paper like this cop.

Robert Kraft's winning streak against Florida prosecutors continues to roll on. And with it, his fight against prostitution charges appears to be unexpectedly strengthening the privacy of average citizens.
That's the unintentional, but potentially significant, side effect of Kraft's latest court win. It has, once again, backed up the constitutional rights of average citizens who were caught up in police surveillance the same spa surveillance that four judges have now ruled to be a clear overreach by authorities. And the same surveillance that could end up resulting in Fourth Amendment lawsuits (protecting against unreasonable searches and seizures) brought against police or other agencies that had a role in taping customers who hadn't committed a crime.
One point that Tacopina has attacked is part of what ultimately ensnared Kraft in the case: The reality that authorities didn't engage in "minimized" surveillance which would have parsed out and taped only the individuals who were committing some type of crime.
It's a basic tenet of any surveillance, Tacopina said. Minimization is when the police have to watch the videos or listen to the recordings. And make sure that criminality is occurring [byeachindividualbeingrecorded. Ifthecriminalityisnotoccurring, theymustshutoffthevideotape. Andthat'snotwhathappenedhere. Theyletitrip,24/7 forfivedays. Iguesstheywentoffandgotlunchorsomething. Butnoonewasmonitoringittothepointwheretheywereshuttingoffactivitiesthatwerenotillegal. Theywererecordinginnocentindividualsinastateofundress. That'swhythattapewasdeemedillegalandsuppressed. [ / QUOTE].
Don't forget the other gem: Detectives having marked patrol cars illegally pull over people after leaving the spa under pretext of a (nonexistent) traffic violation so they could tie identity to Person in video tape.
This whole case is much bigger than prostitution or supposed "human trafficking" (eye roll), and just another example off the unchecked out of control police power and abuse of our rights.
Thank god for Kraft and his deep pockets, otherwise this would all been just another day by LE doing whatever want without regard for Constitution.
