I would approach with caution. I have had a few offers from afar but they all want you to send money to finance the trip. Ask yourself are you that irresistible that she would drive hours for it when She could easily find someone close by? Offer to meet her 1/2 way at a hotel and negotiate the rate based off deductions for the room. If she is willing to do that maybe then, but don't send her money upfront.

Not sure what your definition of a unicorn is but if you want something other than the desperate low level bottom feeders you need to put the time and effort in. Other than that it's total YMMV. Things like your looks, age, income, your offer, creep factor, how you treat / speak to girls, all come into play. I actually found my unicorn on SA after being at this game for a looooong time. She was a Senior at a NH college and was a music major. Smoking hot, super intelligent to a fault. A.) Have your game plan in place. Have your targets in your favorites folder, double check your profile and have your opening message carefully crafted.
