Did daddy happen to teach you the cure for ignorance? Jay Bhattachara is an actual Doctor. He ran a series of studies in Santa Clara county, California to determine the number of people with COVID anti-bodies in their system and compared it to the number of reported cases (for the same population). The ratio was 50:1. The study has since been replicated in other areas with very similar results. https://imprimis.hillsdale.edu/sensi...vid-strategy/. Anyhow, you're a winner. I'm sure that your daddy taught you that as well. While you're working on your affliction, look up the meaning of argumentum ad hominem. In my observation it is the go to line of reasoning employed by the leftist winners. Pay attention and see if you don't agree.

You mean like Nancy Pelosi not wearing a mask when she got her hair done or Gavin Newsom not wearing a mask at a birthday party?

Covid is responsible for a number of deaths in indirect ways. While deaths may be down from automobile crashes, cancer deaths are up from interrupted chemo treatment, heart attacks and strokes are up from people afraid to use the system. Suicides are up.

Our decentralized approach to the pandemic, coupled with our poor public health infrastructure resulted in many, many deaths.

The study provides a lot to think about. Strongly suggest you read it before commenting.
I believe you are making the point that the Indirect deaths are related to the overreaction to Covid, rather than Covid itself. Because of the exaggerated risk, many people are choosing not to get routine medical care (like early cancer screenings) or actually being banned from going. Why were hospitals laying off thousands of employees while not being allowed to conduct routine procedures at the same time? Massive military style hospitals were created and never used. Another example; the gym I go to is usually full of older people getting exercise and much needed social interaction every morning. Now it's empty while they sit home and watch the news by themselves. My father is in a nursing home, where we have always been told that we need to visit constantly to be sure he is being well cared for. None of us has been able to see him in months. This will all add up to far more deaths and destruction than a respiratory virus could. But I suppose we can all creep around with our all-protective masks on until the government approves freedom again because they have developed a drug that says so. The same government whose guidance on diet and exercise has resulted in the most chronically diseased population in history.

    Easy to understand.
From the CDC " Those under age 50 who get infected with the coronavirus lose less than one day of discounted quality-adjusted life expectancy; seniors age 70 or older lose nearly 90 days. ".

For seniors age 70 and older, getting Covid-19 is riskier than climbing Mt. Everest; in contrast, for those under age 20, the infection fatality risk is equivalent to driving a car for 7,500 miles.

As a nation, we have decided that a 70 mile mph speed limit is ok, even though there is indisputable evidence that many more people die every year than did when it was 55. We are ok with that. We know that cigarettes kill more people than most anything on the planet, but we are ok with that. In the name of power, money and control we have decided to sacrifice our freedom in the unwinnable "War on Death" The amount of long term psychological and economic damage that shows itself as suicide, depression, homelessness, drug addiction etc will prove that this is the largest overreaction to any event in history.

My advice is quit watching CNN.

Your point might be valid. You just haven't made the case. I'd love a link to prove 50-80 times more cases.

Fear mongers like you are why 5% of the worlds population have had their lives destroyed over the last year. Is the fact that nine million extra people are going to die due to the mitigation for a disease with a 99.74% overall survival rate enough for you to stop trying to scare people? Or are you one of the knumbskulls that think they should do it again?

Let me try this again 400,000,000 MILLION FUCKING LIVES DESTROYED so you can feel safe. In the next 5 years how many of them will die, 20,000,000? 40,000,000? Maybe 60,000,000?

    Seriously, sit down and STFU.
