Did daddy happen to teach you the cure for ignorance? Jay Bhattachara is an actual Doctor. He ran a series of studies in Santa Clara county, California to determine the number of people with COVID anti-bodies in their system and compared it to the number of reported cases (for the same population). The ratio was 50:1. The study has since been replicated in other areas with very similar results. https://imprimis.hillsdale.edu/sensi...vid-strategy/. Anyhow, you're a winner. I'm sure that your daddy taught you that as well. While you're working on your affliction, look up the meaning of argumentum ad hominem. In my observation it is the go to line of reasoning employed by the leftist winners. Pay attention and see if you don't agree.

Like my Daddy once told me you can't teach a stupid conspiracy theory loser anything aka white inbred middle-class republicans who vote out of their pay scale and lost! Smart forward thinking adults wear mask and go about their business, loser conspiracy theory morons don't wear mask and spread this trumps virus. Pathetic little fools who don't believe in Doctors and Scientists.

I believe you are making the point that the Indirect deaths are related to the overreaction to Covid, rather than Covid itself. Because of the exaggerated risk, many people are choosing not to get routine medical care (like early cancer screenings) or actually being banned from going. Why were hospitals laying off thousands of employees while not being allowed to conduct routine procedures at the same time? Massive military style hospitals were created and never used. Another example; the gym I go to is usually full of older people getting exercise and much needed social interaction every morning. Now it's empty while they sit home and watch the news by themselves. My father is in a nursing home, where we have always been told that we need to visit constantly to be sure he is being well cared for. None of us has been able to see him in months. This will all add up to far more deaths and destruction than a respiratory virus could. But I suppose we can all creep around with our all-protective masks on until the government approves freedom again because they have developed a drug that says so. The same government whose guidance on diet and exercise has resulted in the most chronically diseased population in history.

This study makes it clear our forum arguments are too narrowly focused.

The study provides a lot to think about. Strongly suggest you read it before commenting.

From the CDC " Those under age 50 who get infected with the coronavirus lose less than one day of discounted quality-adjusted life expectancy; seniors age 70 or older lose nearly 90 days. ".

As a nation, we have decided that a 70 mile mph speed limit is ok, even though there is indisputable evidence that many more people die every year than did when it was 55. We are ok with that. We know that cigarettes kill more people than most anything on the planet, but we are ok with that. In the name of power, money and control we have decided to sacrifice our freedom in the unwinnable "War on Death" The amount of long term psychological and economic damage that shows itself as suicide, depression, homelessness, drug addiction etc will prove that this is the largest overreaction to any event in history.

By Sep 19, the United States had recorded 198,589 COVID-19–related deaths, for a death rate of 0. 06%, higher than countries with low and moderate coronavirus death rates but similar to those with high death rates. For example, the death rate in Australia, considered a low-mortality country, was 0. 003%, while Canada, a moderate-mortality country, had a 0. 02% death rate.

Posts: 262Here's your confusion. We have speed limits to protect others from your recklessness, just not 25. The flu season rarely overruns hospitals. Buffets are indoor dining, therefore temporarily closed. Cigarette smoking is outlawed in most indoor public places, to protect others from your recklessness. Junk food is not contagious or effects others around you.

If we are going to turn the world upside down for this we should do the same for every flu season and lower the speed limit on the freeway to 25 mph. Not to mention buffets, cigarettes, alcohol, and junk food should be outlawed. Where does it stop?

First, look at the news source. Then note its a spotty series of quotes from a United Nations entity.

Your point might be valid. You just haven't made the case. I'd love a link to prove 50-80 times more cases.
