I had a close call myself with an underage girl on seeking. Luckily I never met her but was supposed to and something came up. There was no indication that she was underage. I've been meticulous about verifying that I'm talking to an adult now and if the girl refuses to prove it then I assume she's a minor and move on.

I want to thank everyone for this info. I had gotten to know Matilda on a personal level and was trying to get her to get help and get in a residential rehab. She told me " It's not that easy ". Now I know what she was going through and what she meant. She was a sweet girl who made mistakes that kept adding up to the point she told me there was no way out. I can only hope that somehow her murderers will come to know the pain and horror she felt in her last moments of life.

Just thirty days before her murder Matilda and GiGi from Chamberlayne Ave were cell mates and became friends. While locked up together Matilda told GiGi that she was trying to get away from her handlers and that they had threatened to kill her if she tried to leave again. . Matilda had asked to stay in jail longer because she had nowhere to go and was afraid for her life. Less than 48 hrs after her release from jail she was set on fire and left to die. And her handlers have been charged with the crime.

Thanks to Raheem for the followup information. To quote the newspaper article. " Swigert died of thermal exposure and inhalation injury ". It sure sounds to me like they set her on fire and left her to die a slow agonizing death.

This is exactly what I expect to see except about little Red (Bailey). As far as I know no one has seen or heard from her for almost 3 months.

Glad they got the piece of shit though I don't think the charges are anywhere near as severe as they need to be. I was getting concerned when I didn't hear back from her when I tried to get a hold of her several weeks ago. For her to not respond back quickly was very out of character.
