When I was in Miami, I paid a $50 deposit. It was bad. This woman went back and forth with me over several hours to set up the date. Went as far as to show me a screen shot of her catching an Uber to my location and then bailed with the $50.

My last text to her was, "If you're going to spend THAT much time and effort to steal a measly $50, then you should probably just get a job. You'd get paid more. ".

Oh, no, I don't have a habit of paying deposits. You're right that they're usually scams, but they're not *always* scams. Have had a couple pretty good encounters with chances taken. All in all this seemed more and more like a pretty ok bet until the message of "for the safety of your car".

Again, I'm not stressed to be out anything. Just disappointed at what a difference a half hour distance makes (was previously up in Tacoma). Probably just going to have to suck it up and burn some gas to find anything decent.
