I came to this country as a student more than 30 years ago.

Why did you stay here? The student exchange program was a result of WWI and WWII as cultural exchange with intent the best and brightest from other countries would come here, get a taste of democracy, and go back to lead their country into prosperity. The J-1 program started by JFK was particularly targeted for this goal during the cold war. That program has devolved into a ticket to the USA. That said, kudos to you coming here legally, you literally won the lottery. Most of us have no issue with legal immigration. Take care of an elderly parent (or look at what is (not) available to veterans) and see the fraud in our system of social services pillaging the social services by illegal (and legal) citizens and see what is left for those most in need who have spent their adult lives paying into the system. Wanting to correct that is not racists, that is fiscally responsible and fairness by providing for those for who it was intended.

I never met a liberal who is racist. That opinion is yours to own. I never met a liberal who could piss on a wall.

Every neo Nazi, KKK, all those white nationalists and about 40% of southern people belong to Republican party and have deep hatred towards colored people. Nice broad brush stroke. I have lived here most of my life and have never met a KKK member or proclaimed neo nazi or white nationalist,. I suspect you haven't either. Racist? Maybe. Some people like chevy and some ford. It made me think about last night at PP. I can't say that one AA came by looking for a dance from this white dude. I don't worry about it too much though. Just human nature. But it would have been crappy if theyd all had shirts on saying no white men, so I do feel for you my man.
