You could achieve the same result if you happen to have an ice cold aluminum soda / pop can that you could hold up to your forehead for a minute or so. Just make sure you KNOW you don't have a fever if doing this, as the purpose of this precaution is just to avoid a false reading due to being in a hot car cabin for any length of time.

Appointment, and no fever.

Had errands to run and stopped by shortly after they opened. Paid my donation through the window and got my temperature taken. I was introduced to Hannah, very beautiful woman.
