I'm unsure if this has been mentioned yet, but have you just tried going into your Settings app on your iPhone, scrolling down to Privacy, then inside Privacy turn off your Location Services? That's what I do and I know when it's off the SO couldn't see where I'm at. Of course, while it's off, you can't use your GPS but if you write down the directions to their incall location prior to heading to the provider, then you won't need the GPS. This also could allow you not to have to turn off your phone completely. Which could come across as sketchy to the SO.

Posts: 1039As long as you don't do it often, just tell her you gave a buddy a ride home and once you got there he wouldn't stop talking. We all have one of those friends right.

If you do contact customer service, or figure out whatever solution, I'd certainly be interested. I have a very similar situation, my primary phone is with Verizon, I've got a burner with TracFone and a SO at home that I, obviously, want (need?) to keep in the dark as to my extracurricular activities. While I've often gone with the solution suggested by some members of leaving the primary phone in a legitimate location, it sure wouldn't hurt to have more information on ways to address the issue of the SO being able to track your location.

I believe that the phones location has to be on for it to be tracked. However Verizon Customer Service could tell you more accurately.

SO is legitimately worried about the kids, bit I believe it is an added bonus to be able to monitor me as well.

How do you disable? The shut off thr phone will work in some situations, but not all.
Thanks.

You can disable that if you have an iPhone but otherwise turning it off works well, so long as you can explain why your phone goes off for 30 min or 1 h every time she isn't able to track your location.

When you dream tell her you're going to be somewhere else. Leave your normal phone at said location and have all your calls and texts forwarded to your burner.

Judging by the amount of posts you have, I'm guessing you've been around for a long time. Is there any way at all that your SO might suspect you of extra curricular activities and is really doing this to keep track of you and not the kids?

I have a burner phone from tracfone. My issue is with my regular phone now being tracked by my network and my SO being able to see any websites I visit through the network or track were I am at when I want to play. I use the burner phone for what I need it for, but now it is like I have PI following via my network and then have to answer for it.

Posts: 142Why not just get a Tracfone with a year of service for 50 bucks off of ebay. Much easier to deal with and Verizon just acquired them.

Posts: 941Agreed. I only see Eros, Tryst, Slixa providers now.
It has doubled what I spend. Use to spend 150 hr now it is 300 to 400 an hour.
The quality is a 1000 times better.
Most importantly no games.
The only thing I do not do is prepay.
I do not care who she is that is not happening.

Totally agree with Sox here, I know theres a lot of guys that like to live dangerously and visit trap houses and these shady hotels with street walkers, but IMO I've got way too much to lose. Like Papi said, how the fuck do you explain why you're in a room with a dead pimp and prostitute. Pay a little more, see a trusted provider in a nice incall.

Posts: 1039Believe me, I don't pack when I play and I for the most part only see reputable providers. And most importantly I will never talk to the PD.
