I think Trump is a clown but there aren't 200,000 needless dead. In 2017,2018, and 2019 an average of 233,000 people died every month in America, month in, month out. 233,000. Peanut allergies, homicide, suicide, falling out of windows, heart attacks, you name it, 233,000 every month. In 2020 the year of the great pandemic, care to guess what the average number of people who died every month was? You got it, 233,000. 75% of those who died were over 65 and of that 75% 96% of them had multiple co morbidity. They were dying in 2020 covid or not. Yes, that sounds heartless and yes team lockdown can cancel anybody who says it but that doesn't change the fact that it's the truth.

The 13,000,000 lost jobs are the responsibility of the people who have been relentlessly posting danger porn about the 200,000 dead and always, ALWAYS leading it back to the same thing "Lack of leadership has caused these deaths" when the reality is, the same number of people died. Sweden didn't lose the same jobs and the same people that talk about the 200,000 are the same people that are relentlessly saying Sweden fucked up when they are the ONLY country in the EU not having a second wave. The left, which I am still one of, politicized this virus in March, the SCREAMED for the lockdowns that caused the loss of the 13,000,000 jobs now they want to blame the douchebag for losing them. There sure weren't any maga assholes posting about "saving people before profits" in March. WE own the devastation of the economy, we own the nine million more people that are going to die of hunger in 2021 as a direct result of the economic devastation as a result of covid mitigation, we DEMANDED it, we own it.

President Reagan's 12% mortgage rate looks bad as a stand-alone figure, but not if you compare it to the 18% mortgage rate he inherited from President Carter.

I think I remember hearing about mortgages in the low 20% range before Carter left office. I was too young to know how things got out of whack but glad I wasn't trying to buy a home in those days.
